HYUNDAI CRETA - OVERVIEW
Hyundai Motor India Ltd. is almost done with readying the much awaited Creta compact SUV, and the launch of the upcoming model, which is internationally known as the ix25, is scheduled to take place in the second-half of this month. The Hyundai Creta stares at quite an uphill task – to take on some well established rivals (read:Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport). It is being said that Hyundai India has invested in tune of INR 1,000 Crore into the Creta project, which alone speaks for the manufacturer’s commitment towards the rapidly growing Indian car industry. Talking of the upcoming model, Hyundai India CEO and MD Bo Shin Seo has said,“This year we have already launched two products (i20 Active and 4S Verna). Later this year, we will launch a compact SUV,” Seo said. “But we have high expectations and are not satisfied by only these. Globally, SUVs are in great demand and we have to plan ahead. We are looking at a sub-4 metre SUV as well as other MPVs. We have tested our product against competition and it will be very high on quality, durability and performance. It will help us grow our volumes and I am confident of its success.”We, at Car Blog India, believe that the soon-to-be-launched Hyundai Creta might very well end up becoming the next big ‘small SUV’ in the country and here’s our Hyundai Creta review to give you a fair idea about the upcoming Korean compact SUV.
